Automatic Fire Sprinkler System in Pune
Sprinkler systems that control a fire where it starts โ designed, installed, modified and maintained for warehouses, factories, offices, hospitals and high-rise buildings across Pune and PCMC.

Sprinklers work automatically โ even when nobody is there
An automatic sprinkler system is one of the most effective fire protection measures a building can have. Each sprinkler head has a heat-sensitive glass bulb or link that opens only when the temperature around it rises, so water is released directly over the fire while the rest of the building stays dry.
Getting it right depends on the hazard. A warehouse with high racks, an office floor, a car park and a hospital ward all need different sprinkler types, spacing and water supply. FIRENET designs and installs sprinkler systems to suit the hazard classification, and just as importantly, keeps them right when your layout changes โ new partitions, false ceilings or racks are the most common reason sprinklers stop covering the areas they should.
Typical sprinkler applications
- Warehouses and high-rack storage (Chakan, Talegaon, Ranjangaon)
- Manufacturing plants and workshops
- IT offices and commercial floors (Hinjewadi, Kharadi)
- Basement car parks and podiums
- Hospitals, hotels and malls

Hazard-Based Design
Sprinkler type, spacing, pipe sizing and water demand based on the occupancy hazard, in line with IS 15105 and NBC 2016 Part 4.
Installation
Pendent, upright and sidewall sprinklers, installation control valves, flow switches, drain and test arrangements.
Fit-Out Modifications
Relocating and adding sprinkler drops when offices are re-partitioned or ceilings change, so coverage stays complete.
Testing & Commissioning
Hydrostatic testing, flow switch and alarm valve tests, and inspector’s test valve checks.
Inspection & AMC
Checks for painted, blocked, corroded or damaged heads, valve positions, gauges and spare-head stock.

Why Sprinklers Fail โ and How We Prevent It
Most sprinkler problems are introduced after installation. Our inspections look for these specifically.
| Problem | Why it matters | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Painted or taped sprinkler heads | Paint or covers can delay or stop the bulb from operating | Replace affected heads with matching type and temperature rating |
| Storage too close to heads | Stock stacked near the ceiling blocks the spray pattern | Mark clearance zones and advise on rack/stack heights |
| New partitions or ceilings | Rooms end up with no sprinkler coverage | Survey and add or relocate heads as per design |
| Closed or partly closed valves | System shows pressure but water cannot reach the heads | Verify valve positions and recommend locking/monitoring |
| Corrosion and leaks | Leads to loss of pressure and pipe failure | Repair and replace sections, check water quality |
| No spare sprinkler stock | Operated heads cannot be replaced quickly | Maintain a spare cabinet with the right types and wrench |
Inspection frequency is agreed in your AMC; weekly visual checks by site staff and periodic professional testing are common practice.
From design to handover
Survey & hazard review
We assess what is stored or processed and the ceiling heights and layout.
Design & hydraulic check
Sprinkler layout and pipe sizing matched to the pump and tank capacity.
Installation
Pipework and heads installed with minimum disruption to your operations.
Testing
Pressure test, flow switch and alarm tests, witnessed and documented.
Handover & AMC
Certificates, spare heads and a maintenance plan to keep coverage complete.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. In a standard wet-pipe system each sprinkler head operates individually when the heat at that head reaches its rated temperature. In most fires only the heads nearest the fire open, which limits water damage.
Usually yes. New cabins, partitions or false ceilings can leave rooms without coverage or place heads at the wrong depth. We survey the new layout and add, relocate or change heads so the design stays valid.
No. Paint, tape or dust covers can stop a sprinkler from working properly. Painted heads should be replaced with new heads of the same type and temperature rating โ never cleaned with solvents.
Large warehouses and high-rack storage commonly require sprinkler protection under NBC 2016 and are often required by insurers. The design depends heavily on what is stored and how high. We can review your layout and advise.
It depends on the area and ceiling heights. A single office floor can take a few days, while a large warehouse takes several weeks. You receive a clear schedule with your quotation.
