Clean Agent Fire Extinguisher

How to choose and look after a clean agent extinguisher

Where to use it

Clean agent extinguishers use a gaseous agent that is electrically non-conductive and leaves no residue. They protect server rooms, data centres, control rooms, telecom rooms, labs, museums and archives — anywhere water or powder would cause more damage than the fire.

Choosing the size

Capacity depends on the room size and the equipment at risk. For whole rooms, a fixed gas suppression system gives automatic protection; portable clean agent extinguishers are the first response for staff.

Care, refilling and servicing

Check monthly that the gauge is in the green zone and the seal is intact, have it serviced at least once a year, and refill it after any use through an authorised service provider. FIRENET services clean agent extinguishers and gas suppression systems.
