Fire Warden & Fire Marshal Training

Give every floor and shift a trained person who knows what to do in the first critical minutes. Practical, site-specific training for offices, factories, hospitals, schools and societies in Pune.

The people who lead everyone else out

Fire wardens (also called fire marshals) are staff members who take charge of their floor or area during a fire alarm. They make sure the alarm has been raised, guide people to the nearest safe exit, check rooms and toilets on their way out, help anyone who needs assistance, and report to the assembly point so the person in charge knows whether the area is clear.

Good warden training is specific to your building. FIRENET trains wardens on your actual alarm panel, call points, exits, refuge areas and assembly points, so they are not learning in theory. Every session includes hands-on extinguisher practice and a floor-sweep exercise.

Warden responsibilities we cover

  • Day-to-day fire prevention: keeping exits clear and spotting hazards
  • Raising the alarm and calling the fire brigade (101 / 112)
  • Floor sweeps and closing doors to slow fire spread
  • Guiding people, visitors and persons with disabilities
  • Roll call and reporting at the assembly point
  • When — and when not — to use an extinguisher

Frequently Asked Questions

How many fire wardens do we need? +

It depends on your floor layout, number of occupants and shifts. A common approach is at least one trained warden, plus a deputy, for each floor or area on every shift. We can recommend numbers after reviewing your site.

How long is the training? +

A typical programme is about half a day, including a site walk-through and hands-on extinguisher practice. Larger groups may be split into batches.

How often should wardens be retrained? +

An annual refresher is common practice, along with training for new wardens whenever people change roles or leave.

Do participants get a certificate? +

Yes. Each participant receives a certificate of participation, and you receive an attendance record for your fire safety file.

Can the training be held in Hindi or Marathi? +

Tell us your team’s preferred language when booking and we will plan the session accordingly.
