Bigger is not always better
The right size depends on what could catch fire, the floor area and how quickly someone can reach the extinguisher. Small units (1–2 kg) suit cars, bikes, kitchens and small rooms; 4–6 kg units suit offices, shops and housing society floors; 9 kg units and trolleys suit factories, godowns, parking and fuel areas.
