How to choose and look after modular extinguishers

Where to use it

Modular (automatic) extinguishers are mounted above a specific risk — electrical panels, small stores, generator and pump rooms, kitchens or vehicle engine bays — and discharge automatically when the temperature rises.

Use them as extra protection

Automatic units protect unattended areas, but they do not replace portable extinguishers, alarms or hydrant and sprinkler systems. Choose the unit size to match the area it must cover, as rated by the manufacturer.

Care and replacement

Check the pressure gauge (where fitted), mounting and expiry date regularly, and keep the area below free of obstructions. Replace or recharge units after activation or at the end of their service life. FIRENET can survey your site and recommend where modular units make sense.
