Form A Compliance Certificate in Pune
For new buildings, extensions and new fire installations: we test the complete system against the requirements and, as a Licensed Agency, issue Form A for your fire approval file.

What is Form A?
Form A is the fire safety compliance certificate. Under Section 3(3) of the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2006, the owner or occupier furnishes to the Chief Fire Officer or nominated officer a certificate from a Licensed Agency regarding compliance with the fire prevention and life safety measures. The Rules call this Form A.
It matters most at completion: Section 3(2) says the planning authority should not issue a completion certificate unless it is satisfied that the owner has complied with the requirements in Schedule I of the Act. FIRENET designs and installs fire systems, and as a Licensed Agency can test and certify installations — including systems installed by other contractors.
When Form A is usually needed
- New residential, commercial or institutional buildings before occupancy
- New factories, warehouses and plant expansions
- Extensions or new floors with new fire installations
- When fire systems are installed or upgraded as required by the fire authority
How Form A differs from Form B and the Fire NOC is explained in our guide Form A vs Form B vs Fire NOC.

Sprinklers
Coverage, installation valve, flow and alarm tests.
Pump room
Main, jockey and diesel pumps — automatic start and performance.
Detection & alarm

Portable equipment

Design, install, test and certify — one team
Most delays at completion come from gaps found late: a pump that does not start automatically, a riser that fails the pressure test, or detectors that do not match the drawings. When FIRENET handles the fire safety project end to end, testing and Form A are planned from day one.
If your building already has an installation, we inspect and test it as it is, give you a clear gap list and certify once it complies.

Frequently Asked Questions
Form A is the certificate a Licensed Agency issues confirming that the fire prevention and life safety measures required for a building have been provided — typically after the fire fighting installations in a new building or extension are completed and tested.
Usually before occupancy: the Act says the planning authority should not issue a completion certificate unless the owner has complied with the fire safety requirements in Schedule I. Form A is the Licensed Agency’s certificate of that compliance.
Yes, after we inspect and test the complete installation against the approved drawings and requirements. Any gaps are listed and must be fixed before we certify.
Typically hydrant and riser pressure tests, sprinkler flow tests, pump automatic start and performance, fire alarm cause-and-effect, and checks of extinguishers, signage and emergency lighting.
Once the building is occupied, the fire systems must be maintained and a Form B maintenance certificate submitted twice a year, in January and July.
