For most homes an ABC powder extinguisher of 1 to 2 kg covers common fires from cloth, paper, wood, cooking gas and electrical points. Add a fire blanket in the kitchen for pan fires.

Where should I keep the extinguisher at home? +

In a visible place on the way out — near the kitchen door or the main door — at a height everyone at home can reach. Not inside a cupboard or right next to the stove.

Can I use an ABC extinguisher on a cooking oil fire? +

For a burning pan, first turn off the gas and cover the pan with a fire blanket or a lid. Never pour water on burning oil. For restaurants and large kitchens, a K-Type kitchen extinguisher is the right choice.

Do you deliver to my home in Pune? +

Yes. Delivery is free in Pune and PCMC, usually the same day to 2 working days depending on stock. You can also collect from our Pimpri-Chinchwad office.
